CASO project students, Kaylene Hendricks and Chantè Johannes, who are BA Sport and Recreation Management Honours students at the University of the Western Cape (UWC) ran a project aimed at addressing physical activity as well as gender equity through sport. Kaylene and Chante, along with  peers from their class, Keenan Alben, Advocate Thebe and Lita Gqirana  ran an event at a Quintile 1 primary school on the Cape Flats where approximately 80% of the learners are social grant recipients. The event was in the form of an all inclusive (girls and boys) five a side football tournament and also offered cultural activities in the form of dance. With an amazing vibe, the entire school participated in the project either as spectators or participants.
